Rising Sun Seafood Restaurant is located in Sydney’s Beverly
Hills, near Hurstville. The interior is like any other typical Chinese
restaurant, with white walls and round tables of various sizes. It wasn’t overly
crowded, and the noise was at a comfortable level.
We ordered various dishes, but the one that stood out the
most was the raw lobster sashimi. Other dishes included the second part of the
lobster dish- cooked lobster (not entirely sure on how to describe it apart
from that…), stir fried abalone and fillet steak in a pate sauce.

The food was delicious, and even though I’m not usually a
very big fan of the lobster sashimi, it was surprisingly nice this time, though
I think the lemon juice contributed to that greatly. What was a little bit
disappointing though, was that the lobster flesh was not served on the whole
lobster. The previous times we’ve visited that restaurant, the presentation was
always fun, albeit a bit bizarre (the WHOLE lobster makes an appearance,
occasional twitches of it eyes and all!). This time, however, it was a bit
lacklustre in comparison to previous visits. That being said though, everything
else was normal and all in all the experience was great.
The service was another thing that was brilliant. The waiter
made us feel comfortable, even my relatives who hadn’t been to that restaurant
before felt welcomed. Lots of jokes were exchanged, and it made us all feel
welcomed.
Overall, the food was great, service was great, and the
price for that amount of people (over 15), plus the food we’d ordered was quite
worth it.
