Tim Ho Wan is a Michelin-starred brand. The name is translated from ‘add good luck’ and the single consistent message across the expansion of this brand is to focus on producing affordable, high-quality dim sum. Within a year of opening in 2009, the restaurant was awarded a Michelin star. Utilizing quality ingredients, its dim sum is freshly made-to-order. Tim Ho Wan has 4 branches in Sydney.
I am satisfied with dim sum there, because it is high quality and the average price is nice. I am from Guangdong province in China. People from Guangdong and Hong Kong have a common habit, drinking morning tea. Almost every weekend, people will go to a restaurant to drink tea and have dim sum .They will not go there quite early, instead brunch time. Usually they chat with families and friends, when they enjoy foods and tea till about 2 pm. It is Chinese morning tea culture.
Each time I went into Tim Ho Wan and enjoy the food, I felt like returning my homeland because of atmosphere, familiar language and traditional taste food. It always seems be busy and even have a long queue during peak period. I also saw lots of Australians come to there. And they look curious and enjoyable. Chinese food is really different from other countries. A high quality course is required look good, smell good and taste good. Tim Ho Wan meet all this requirements.
If you want to try traditional flavor dim sum, I really suggest you to go there!!
